  • Careers Surf Report: Whether you are a guidance counselor working with students on their career goals or a teacher who wants to integrate some school-to-work examples into the curriculum, the Web is a rich source of information. While most career websites are designed for high school or college students, we have also identified several sites designed specifically for younger students.

  • Solar Car Racing games students will virtually design and race a solar car. Students begin by choosing the components for their car that will optimize the performance. Next they test out their car in a desert and on a racetrack environment to find out how it performs. Students can observe the performance and then modify their design based on feedback and race again.
  • BBC’s DIY build a catapult. The site lets students explore the history behind the catapult, learn how to build one step by step and then discover principles of velocity, acceleration, force, distance and math.
